Privacy policy

Effective October 25, 2026. This policy covers GovBot Earthquakes & Landslides at earthquakes.govbot.ai, operated by Ideation Lab, Corp.

Information processed and purposes

The service processes tool arguments such as coordinates, radii, dates, magnitudes, state codes and USGS event ids to retrieve public records. A coordinate pair can identify a home or other location; the service uses it only to answer the request. It processes network and request metadata, including IP address, time, route, response status and user agent, to operate and protect the service. It does not require an account, use advertising cookies or collect payment information. Do not include names, confidential information or other sensitive personal data in tool arguments.

Recipients

Google Cloud hosts the gateway and processes operational request metadata. GovBot’s data service processes lookup arguments. The U.S. Geological Survey earthquake and landslide services receive the coordinates, radius, dates, magnitudes or event id needed for a live source request, and the Census Bureau TIGERweb service receives a state code. We do not forward caller credentials or identities to any agency. The client you use, such as Claude, processes your conversation and returned records under its own privacy policy.

Retention

Operational request logs are retained for 30 days. The gateway and data service do not log tool arguments, request bodies or returned records. Source responses are held in process memory for up to ten minutes (state boundaries and layer descriptions up to 24 hours) and are not written to storage. Rate-limit identifiers are held in process memory and cleared within 60 seconds.

Your choices and contact

You can stop using or disconnect the service at any time and manage conversation history through your client. For privacy questions or requests, contact hello@govbot.ai. Do not send credentials or sensitive personal information.
